How to Save Money on Drain Cleaner

Vinegar is a wonderful multi-purpose weapon in your cleaning arsenal. You can use it to clean glass, grout, counter tops, mirrors, and sinks. It’s inexpensive, non-toxic, and non-abrasive. You can even use it to clean drains.

All you have to do is mix two cups of baking soda with two cups of salt, and one-half cup of cream of tartar. Pour one-quarter of this down your clogged drain and follow with a mixture of two cups of vinegar in six cups of boiling water.

You will be surprised at some of the gunk that will come out of your clogged drains. Afterwards, maintain your clean drains by pouring two litres of boiling water down them once a week. Repeat the cleaning regimen as necessary.

This will potentially save you hundreds of dollars a year in drain cleaner for your sinks and tubs, and it is completely non-toxic for both you and the environment.
