These easy tips will allow householders to keep sinks, toilets and drains working smoothly throughout the festival season.
Grease and un-flushable items
Avoid pouring grease or oil down the drain and discourage the throwing of un-flushable items down the toilet. Oil and grease can have a detrimental effect on drainage, as these substances tend to build up in the piping system.
Un-flushable items such as baby wipes, dental floss and cotton balls can create an instant blockage. Use a sign to remind visitors to use the rubbish bin instead of the toilet for un-flushable items.
Snake the toilet
